Launch of the Clean Transition Tracker
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Clean Transition Tracker, a new interactive tool that enables users to explore data and trends underpinning the analysis of the progress of Green Deal policy targets, presented in the JRC report Delivering the EU Green Deal. The tracker monitors 154 quantifiable targets, extracted from 44 policy documents across the seven thematic areas of the Green Deal: climate, energy, circular economy, transport, agriculture and food, ecosystems and biodiversity, water, soil and air pollution.
It brings together a comprehensive set of indicators to track progress towards the EGD objectives and related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The tracker allows users to:
- Navigate Easily across the seven thematic areas of the EGD
- Explore targets according to the SDGs they contribute to.
- Search targets and indicators using keywords.
- Visualise progress through descriptive assessment complemented with historical trends at EU27 and, where available, at Member States level.
Where Eurostat data are available, the Clean Transition Tracker links directly to the official dataset, ensuring automatic updates when new data become available.
The tracker supports evidence-based monitoring of the European Green Deal and highlights its contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
