SDG Policy Mapping: the 2025 update is there!

The SDG Policy Mapping dataset has been updated. It now includes initiatives from the current European Commission period, with policy documents retrieved from Eur-Lex up to July 2025.

Users can filter the mapping by category – legal acts (such as directives, regulations or recommendations) or preparatory documents (such as communications and staff working documents) – and by Commission period. Beyond the 6th (2015-2019) and 7th (2019-2024) Commissions, the tool now covers initiatives from the 8th Commission (2024-2029).

The tool also enables users to explore how specific SDGs are addressed by different policies, identify which policies address multiple SDGs, and analyse the degree to which EU policy initiatives take a cross-cutting approach to sustainable development.
